What a Year for CRG!

2012 will be a landmark season for CRG company! Drivers wearing the colours of the Italian brand always made it to the podium in major international events and in several categories. It was no different during the final round of the World KF1 Championship. One month after his victory at the World Cup for KF2, Felice Tiene (CRG-BMB) was one of the best drivers in Macao and the Italian driver concluded with a 3rd place in the final classification. Jordon Lennox-Lamb was brilliant too, while Tom Joyner showed an impressive performance by winning four meeting races behind the wheel of his LH-BMB. Performances were definitely up to expectations on this track so hard for chassis…

It was with some emotion that CRG Racing Team members gathered in the paddock of the Macao-Coloane circuit. Many remembered the triumph of the CRG-Maxter kart (driven at the time by Arnaud Kozlinski) at the 2009 World Super KF Championship. Three years later, a CRG chassis with a TM engine, driven by Max Verstappen, set the pole. On Saturday, Verstappen repeated his excellent performances in Race 1, with a second place behind a magnificent Joyner. Felice Tiene and Davide Forè, who had their share of bad luck, showed their skills in Race 2 climbing up 16 and 22 places respectively, to end 6th and 7th.
Jordon Lennox-Lamb spared no efforts either. Starting from second row after his 4th place in Race 1, he suffered the consequences of the melee at the start and slipped out of the top 10. But thanks to his speed on track, he staged a remarkable recovery to 3rd.

Two Podiums for Tiene
On Sunday, there were four CRG chassis in the first five positions in timed qualifying, including Eddy Tinini’s, who had been very fast already the previous day. The fight in Race 3 was very intense and finished with Tiene’s and Lennox-Lamb’s excellent third and fourth places. Tiene kept the momentum going in Race 2. In the lead for several laps, he lost narrowly to Joyner, but his second place allowed him to complete the World Championship final podium. The classification included Lennox-Lamb (5th), Forè (6th), Verstappen (8th), and Tinini (13th).
Again at Macao, the young Hong-Kong driver Jacky Chan Cheuk Hin staged an impressive recovery drive up to 4th during the CIK/FIA Asia-Pacific KF3 Championship final round.

Faultless Performance for Joyner and LH

The name of LH, a brand of the Tinini Group, went down in history at Macao, where Tom Joyner carried out a true prowess: four races and four victories for the chassis bearing Lewis Hamilton’s initials! The LH Racing Team managed by former driver Rickard Kaell proved to be ready for this major event, just like KVS BMB engines. Thanks to this triumph, the Briton became 2012 KF1 World Vice Champion!
