Sodi: A Winning Choice

Sodi demonstrated again the value of its Racing range, on the circuit of Soucy, in a tough international competition, by winning the French Championship in the “Nationale” class with Anthony Fotia and by taking second place in the “Cadet” French Cup thanks to Adrien Renaudin. In the meanwhile, these French chassis showed top-quality performances in the Rotax International Open in Spain.

Another National Title for Sodi
After winning the national titles in Rotax Max and Rotax Max Master and conquering the French Minikart Cup, Sodi also won the “Nationale” French Championship with Anthony Fotia. Winning a title in “Nationale” is something special, because this class is perhaps one of the toughest, with its Rotax Junior one-design engines that are very close in terms of performances and a reasonable cost that attracts many talented drivers who could not be seen elsewhere.

Anthony Fotia is definitely a talented driver. One of his most outstanding qualities is perhaps his determination, which does wonders in difficult situations. With a Sodi chassis that was both effective and versatile, he was able to make a difference in hot weather, in cold weather as well as in the rain, in the three Championship meetings, and to win with a significant lead over a bunch of very tough opponents.

Sodi and Renaudin Second in the Cadet French Cup
French Vice Champion, just one point behind the leader, at Mirecourt in July, Adrien Renaudin was again at the front in the 11-15 class, showing excellent regularity. Throughout the season, he has been the driver most often in top positions in the different French standings. Though victory has not come yet to reward him, he showed some top-level performances in dry weather as well as in the rain by taking a final second place in the French Cup at Soucy. 5th in the pre-final and 6th in the final race, Hugo Darniche – grandson of the famous Rally champion – saw his results improve as soon as he got behind the steering wheel of a Sodi.

Rotax International: Sodi Always Brilliant
While everybody is preparing for the Rotax Grand Finals of New Orleans, where Sodi will provide its chassis to the top-class of the Seniors, there was a last European meeting this weekend in Spain, on the circuit of Zuera: the Rotax International Open. Anthony Abbasse competed for the occasion in DD2 and despite his limited experience in a highly-technical class, he staged a brilliant performance by moving up from 5th in timed qualifying to 2nd after the heats, and then won the pre-final. The way the final unfolded did not enable him to stay in the lead, but he added a nice podium to his list of achievements anyway. Nicolas Picot came to the fore by concluding the Senior pre-final with a second place, while Vincent Fraïsse staged an impressive recovery in the final race, from 19th to 6th place.

Each meeting, both in France and at international level, has confirmed it: Sodi chassis are now formidable weapons, regardless of conditions and classes.
