When taking stock of the 2012 season, what is immediately apparent is that the Ludo Racing team is once again one of the most successful French karting structures. The year was off to a great start, with many victories in major national competitions in KF3, Cadet and Women, not to mention the regional successes. And it went on the same way, especially in X30: double success at the Iame International Final at Lyon, victory at the “Nationale” Final and Vice Champion title at the Challenge Europa!

During the podium ceremony of the Iame International Final, Jules Gounon and Vincent Fraisse did not forget to thank their mechanics as well as Ludovic Veve, the extremely competent Ludo Racing team manager. It must be said that in an X30 Senior category with 88 entrants, the two drivers could rely on their high performance karts as well as on Ludovic Veve’s talent as an engine mechanic!
Vincent Fraisse opened hostilities by claiming pole position, then Jules Gounon took the lead in the qualifying thanks to his four victories out of four in the heats, and won ahead of his team mate in the pre-final. In the final race, the two drivers outpaced all their rivals and victory was a matter between them. A “slow” procedure froze the final classification in favour of Gounon, but also confirmed the fantastic Ludo Racing double podium finish.
Adeline Prudent, who concluded in top 5 in X30 Junior, was also equipped with a Ludo Racing engine, while Yannick Grau continued his fantastic progress in X30 Senior. Baptiste De la Brosse (3rd in timed qualifying) and Clément Chillet (7th in the pre-final) had much less success.
But two weeks earlier, these two drivers had had their hours of glory on the circuit of Ancenis during X30 “Nationale” final. On that day, De la Brosse was the strongest and won, with a lap record as extra bonus. With Chillet’s 3rd place ahead of Gounon, there were as many as three Ludo Racing drivers in the first four places! Again in X30, mention should be made of Gounon’s second final place in the very tough Challenge Europa, which ended at Lavelanet with Fraisse’s victory.
The season is winding down, and Ludovic Veve and his Ludo Racing team are already thinking ahead to the 2013 season and are teeming with ideas to stay at the top…

Ludo Racing on All Fronts

The substantial efforts made by Ludovic Veve and his team paid off in many categories throughout the season. Johanna Hornegg took victory at the Women’s French Cup; Thomas Landais won in KF3 at Varennes sur Allier; winner at Salon de Provence, Téo Laforge concluded the Cadet French Championship with a 4th place; Enzo Valente won the “Trophée KART mag Minime” with Ludo Racing engines; Hubert Petit climbed up to 5th in the Angerville round of the U18 World Championship; Vincent Fraisse took a 6th place in the tough conditions of the Challenge Rotax Max France final; in the NSK, the Ludo Racing team had a series of positive performances, with different types of chassis: in “Nationale” with Luca Antonucci (engine), in X30 with Jules Gounon and Clément Chillet, and in Rotax Max with Vincent Fraisse.
