Good Prospects for the European Championship
While every single weekend CRG chassis collect victories all over the world in national championships, the official team has continued its season on the Genk track (Belgium), for the fourth round of the highly renowned WSK series. Once again, the Italian brand had a chance to show its current level of competitiveness, especially in KZ2.

Good Prospects for the European Championship

After timed qualifiers, there were already four CRG-Maxter karts in the first seven places, with Jonathan Thonon 2nd, Rick Dreezen 4th, Arnaud Kozlinski 6th and Davide Forè 7th. Moreover, CRG drivers won five out of six qualifying heats! The pre-final pole position was conquered by Dutch driver Dreezen (CRG Holland). Unfortunately, rain made its appearance in Genk and disrupted the plans (and victory dreams) of CRG drivers!
“Pity, because we missed a good chance at Genk”, Arnaud Kozlinski commented. “On this track that really puts karts to the test, with quite a lot of dust outside the good trajectory, my chassis performed incredibly well. And in the rain, everything was still possible after my 7th place in the pre-final, but race mishaps compromised my performance”. Though Dreezen, Thonon and Kozlinski were forced to withdraw from the final, Davide Forè achieved a praiseworthy 6th place, despite difficult weather conditions.
“Performance is one thing, success is another”, said a CRG team member. “Now that there are just a few days to go before the final of European KZ1 & KZ2 Championships, held in Germany, the competitiveness of our equipment makes us very optimistic”.

Maxter Wins in KF3

In a category where different engine manufacturers fight hard to emerge, Maxter achieved a very important victory, one month before the European KF3 Championship. Dutch driver Peter Hoevenaars made the difference in the final with his Zanardi-Maxter from Keijzer Racing Team. On the podium, there was another driver equipped with a Maxter engine, British Jordan King (Maranello). King also posted the best lap time in race. In the pre-final, there were already four Maxter engines in the race top 8, with Hoevenaars in second place.
In the fourth heat of the WSK, at Genk, Maxter engines were again highly competitive in KF2 – with Brandon Maisano (LH chassis) – as well as in KZ2. Second best time in timed qualifiers, two heats won and best lap time in race for Jonathan Thonon, three victories out of three for Rick Dreezen in the qualifiers, not to mention the constant presence of Davide Forè and Arnaud Kozlinski in the lead pack.
“Congratulations to all the tuners who have proved once again the great potential of our engine Maxter and its reliability”, stressed one of the technical managers from the Italian company. “On Sunday, rain changed the cards on the table, but this is part of the race, too”.
