CRG Brand: Surfing the Wave of Success

At the WSK Euro Series round held at La Conca, CRG chassis showed once again their tremendous effectiveness in all conditions. On the weekend of 23rd and 24th June, in Southern Italy, drivers were faced with extreme conditions, with very hot weather and high track grip. After great effort, Jorrit Pex (CRG Holland) won in KZ1, Jordon Lennox-Lamb led his CRG-Maxter to triumph in KZ2, and Tom Joyner carried the LH colours high in KF2. KZ1: Pex Takes the Lead of WSK
Always at ease with his CRG irrespective of circuit layouts, Jorrit Pex added a new victory to his list of achievements in the elite category of world karting. “All this is simply great”, Jorrit commented. “I concluded the WSK Master Series with a victory and I won again at the second WSK Euro Series round held at Val d’Argenton. Two weeks ago I became European Champion and here I am again on the top step of the podium. Of course I benefited from the penalty inflicted to my opponent, but I have been very competitive throughout the weekend”. Already second in Saturday’s final, Pex is now leader of the WSK Euro Series before the last meeting to be held in Spain in early August. Overall, there were four CRG karts in the top 10, including those of Jonathan Thonon, Andrea Dalè and Sinan Van der Raad (CRG Holland).

KZ2: CRG-Maxter Back in the Lead
Jordon Lennox-Lamb imposed his pace on Saturday. After setting the pole position, the Briton took the lead of Saturday’s final at mid-race and managed his first place brilliantly up to the finish line. Therefore his disappointment at being forced to retire during Sunday’s final is perfectly understandable. Luckily, everything is still possible in the general classification and the CRG-Maxter driver will be able to take his chances at Zuera. The Italian Daniele Delli Compagni (CRG-TM/Galiffa Kart) and the Australian Tyler Greenbury fought hard in difficult conditions and finished 4th and 7th respectively in Final 2.

KF3: Palou Still Leader
As he has done regularly since the beginning of the season, Alex Palou was fighting his way to another podium finish. After a brilliant second place in his pre-final, unfortunately the Spaniard was not equally successful during the final. But thanks to the many points scored since the start of the WSK Euro Series, Palou and his CRG-BMB are still leaders of the general classification. In the pack, the Canadian Zachary Claman De Melo showed some excellent performances and came very close to qualifying.

KF2: Tiene in Lead Position
Felice Tiene was not rewarded for his excellent qualifying heats (3-3-2-3-4) and had to retire both in the pre-final and in the final. As for the LH team (BMB-KVS engines), which was joined by a very fast driver, Connor Jupp, in KF3, Tom Joyner just missed out on a podium. After losing some points in a heat, he climbed to 8th in the pre-final and then to 4th in the final. Also noteworthy is that Luke Varley (LH-BMB) achieved his best performance of the season, while Ingrid Girard (CRG-BMB) improved again in terms of regularity.
