KF3 is a very popular and highly coveted class, which always attracts numerous brands and teams thanks to its top level competitions. Behind the wheel of his CRG-BMB, Alex Palou took the lead of a European Championship with as many as 117 entrants. Two weeks after his victory at the opening of the WSK Euro Series, the young Spaniard took CRG colours back onto the top step of the podium…

Winning the most beautiful and difficult international races is a tradition rooted in CRG’s DNA On all the circuits of the world, its know-how has enabled it to make a difference thanks to its top quality chassis. At Varennes sur Allier (France), Alex Palou, the CRG Racing Team and engines prepared by KVS all played a key role in this fantastic victory, as explained by the Spanish driver.
“My CRG chassis really adapted itself to all situations. In timed qualifying, the track was still wet in some spots but I found the right grip to set the fifth time. With more than 100 drivers at the start, it was important to start ahead in the heats”.
And indeed in the heats Palou demonstrated his worth with an impressive performance: three victories, two second places and a 18th place due to a frantic race start. In the combined classification Alex was fourth and it was in that position that he crossed the finish line of Final 1. “I lost a few places at the start, but I managed to move up to fourth after some intense battles on the track”.

A Perfect Chassis at Varennes
In Final 2, Palou gradually heightened the tone: he was already in the top 3 on the third lap and took the lead of the race on the next lap. Solidly at the top of the standings, the Spaniard staged a flawless performance. “My chassis was highly effective throughout the weekend and very regular during the finals. The circuit of Varennes offers many opportunities to overtake, but I managed to keep my position until the end. I won a WSK Euro Series heat in Sarno in the rain and now I have won again in completely different conditions: I am really happy with it. A big thank you to CRG, KVS and my whole team”.
And since good things often come in twos, Alex Palou also reached the top of the European KF3 Championship with a 13-point lead and will be aiming for the title in England, in July.
