Competitive Throughout Europe
The Sodi brand has achieved brilliant results in every corner of Europe over the last few weeks. From the regional qualifications to the European Championship finals, not to mention the Rotax Max Euro Challenge, many drivers have been able to show their talent thanks to the well-known SR5 chassis.

KF1: In view of the World Championship

Both Alban Varutti and Anthony Abbasse, the two spearheads of the official Sodi Team, increased points accumulated so far during the final of the European KF1 Championship. In Portugal, Alban showed some optimism, a few weeks from the World Championship. “Honestly the Sodi chassis was very effective on the Braga circuit. But in this category, motorization continues to play an important role and we have seen that specific elements like the clutch can have a great influence”. As for Pierre-Henri Nanot (Braun Racing), he put in his best performance of the season, since his comeback in competitions. The French driver failed to score points, by improved his times at each race. In September, Anthony Abbasse will be back in the World Cup for KZ1 and in the World KF1 Championship.

KF2: Chatin on the Podium

Loïc Reguillon (Braun Racing) and Paul-Loup Chatin (Kart Runner) have made a brilliant European season. Before entering the European KF2 Championship at Braga in Portugal, they were the protagonists of the qualifying round of the Western Region. On the brand new Alcaniz circuit in Spain, Reguillon achieved a pole position, arrived in top positions in all his four heats and set the best lap in the first final. Unfortunately, a slight impact with another driver deprived him of a certain podium, or maybe even a victory. But another driver with a Sodi chassis, Chatin, made up for that disappointment and mounted on the final podium, in his first experience at a European Championship. Chatin and Reguillon will do their best to assure a great Sodi performance at the Word Cup for KF2 on 21 September in Italy.

KF3: Carel Qualified

At Alcaniz, in Spain, only three French pilots qualified for the European Championship final, which will be held at Varennes sur Allier. Among them, Tanguy Carel perfectly exploited the qualities of his Sodi chassis. After a brilliant eleven-position recovery in Race 2, he reached the top 10 of this very difficult round. At Varennes, in early September, he will be in the company of other two Sodi drivers, Finnish Jari Huttunen (MPT Racing) and Danish Jeppe Dahl Christensen (Dam Racing), who brilliantly qualified at the Northern Region round at Göteborg, in Sweden.

Rotax: Victory in the Czech Republic

The third round of the Rotax Max Euro Challenge was held at Sosnova, in the Czech Republic. The Sodi chassis has always had excellent performances in the Rotax categories and this time too it triumphed at the Rotax Max Junior with Spanish Toni Alarcon, who also assumed the leadership at the end of the heats. This driver from the Mira Motorsport Team was not the only one to achieve a brilliant performance at the wheel of a Sodi chassis. German Carsten Muller (DMV Sodi Team) wanted to gain a victory in Rotax Max DD2. Third in the pre-final, unfortunately he had to give up in the final, where Dutch Danny Brand showed all his talent in DD2 Master. In Rotax Max Master, British Colin Davis (Mira Motorsport) reached the third position in the pre-final as well as in the final, where he arrived ahead of another Sodi, that of French Jérôme Bourquard (BRK Team). As for British James Bean (Mira Motorsport), he led his Sodi to the third step of the podium in the Rotax Max Senior category, where as many as 76 pilots raced.
