Albanese poleman in KZ ahead of van Walstijn

Partly cloudy skies and an air temperature of 33°C were the conditions for Qualifying Practice for the second and final round of the European KZ Championship at Val Vibrata. The 27 drivers took their time getting on track and warming up their tyres.

Tom Leuillet (Tony Kart/Vortex) and Arthur Carbonnel (CRG/TM) were in the lead on the second lap. Danilo Albanese (KR/Iame) and Senna van Walstijn (Sodi/TM) followed each other on the third and fourth laps, with Emilien Denner (Sodi/TM) 3rd and Lorenzo Travisanutto (Parolin/TM) 4th ahead of Paolo Ippolito (KR/Iame). Albanese improved and took pole position on the fifth lap in 48’112, with van Walstijn following at 0.130”, then Ippolito 3rd at 0.251”. Denner was 4th and Travisanutto 5th, 3 tenths ahead of Riccardo Longhi (Birel ART/TM). Tom Leuillet (Tony Kart/Vortex) finished 14th, followed by Jérémy Iglesias (CRG/TM), Yohan Soguel (Sodi/TM) 17th, Adrien Renaudin (DR/Modena) 20th and Carbonnel 25th.
