DD2 Masters Super Heat: Dex wins ahead of Cussac-Picot

21° and sunshine for the DD2 Masters Super Heat of the RMCIT in Le Mans on Saturday morning. Denis Thum (CYP – Tony Kart/Rotax) did not appear on the live-timing, but was leading on track ahead of (Jack Dex GBR – MSKart/Rotax), Andreas Brenkusch (AUT – Birel ART/Rotax), Robert Schlunssen (DNK – Tony Kart/Rotax). Charles Seguin (FRA – Tony Kart/Rotax) moved up to 4th ahead of Vivien Cussac-Picot (FRA – Tony Kart/Rotax) and Nadir Kabagge (FRA – Kosmic/Rotax). Thum stopped for a moment following a black flag with an orange circle to sort out a transponder problem. Dex was 8 tenths ahead of Schlunssen, with Cussac-Picot 3rd ahead of Seguin. Cussac-Picot pounced on Schlunssen and passed him on lap 10 to take 2nd place. Seguin repeated the same manoeuvre to take 3rd place on the following lap. Dex narrowly won by 69 thousandths ahead of Cussac-Picot. Seguin secured P3 by 5 tenths, well ahead of Schlunssen, while Fabian Bock (DEU – Tony Kart/Rotax) was 5th. Kabagge finished 6th, Christophe Capitaine (FRA – EOS/Rotax) 9th, Romain Mangé (FRA – LN/Rotax) 11th, Jimmy Chaumier (FRA – Gillard/Rotax) 12th.
