Alessandro Truchot has made a very good start to the 2024 season in the Mini Gr.3 category, now driving a Parolin / IAME package for the Babyrace Driver Academy team. The first five races of the year under the WSK Promotion banner enabled him to get to grips with his new team. By February, he was already achieving good results with two top 5 finishes in the WSK Super Master Series. In the last race at Sarno at the beginning of March, Alessandro made a superb comeback to finish in 2nd place, just 2 tenths behind the winner, which earned him 5th place in the championship.

Last weekend, Alessandro took part in the 35th edition of the famous Andrea Margutti Trophy at the South Garda Karting track in Lonato. Among the 42 Mini Gr.3, he set the 7th fastest time in his group and finished 13th overall. Both fast and consistent, he made up ground during the two qualifying heats, P2 +7 places then P1 +8 places, to the point of taking the lead on Saturday evening. He confirmed his great form on Sunday morning by winning the pre-final before completing his work in the final. Leader from start to finish, Sandro flew to a resounding victory with the fastest lap of the race and a lead of over 6 seconds.

Following these remarkable performances, Alessandro proved that he had undeniably taken a step forward in his career. The rest of the season promises to be very interesting for the 10-year-old Franco-American, who is showing extremely promising potential.
