Mini U10: Perico and Nellegard win the Franciacorta Prefinals

The temperature rose to 9°C on the Franciacorta circuit as the sun came out for the Mini U10 Prefinals of the WSK Super Master Series.

Prefinal A: Perico holds off Robertson
Mason Robertson (Parolin/Iame) was hot on the heels of Niccolo Perico (Energy/TM), while Davide Di Filippo (Parolin/Iame) was 3rd, a second down on the first lap. Henri-Constant Kumpen (Tony Kart/Vortex) was back in 3rd, but Achille Rea (Tony Kart/Vortex) quickly overtook him. Jean Poujol (Parolin/Iame) had climbed 14 places in three laps to 4th. Perico attacked Robertson to take the lead shortly after the halfway point, with Poujol 3rd at 1.1”, followed by Rea. Robertson was unable to hold off Perico, who won by 52 thousandths. Rea finished 3rd, while Poujol was 7th and was forced to retire early. Kumpen was 4th ahead of Rocco Simone (KR/Iame).

Prefinal B: clear victory for Nellegard
Mark Loomets (Energy/TM) led a lively field from the first lap. Carl Nellegard (Tony Kart/TM) had moved up to 2nd ahead of Danil Verba (Energy/TM), then Blazev Kostrzewa (Parolin/Iame) 4th and Edoardo Colucci (Parolin/Iame) 5th. Nellegard took the lead on the second lap ahead of Loomets and Kostrzewa in battle with Verba. The Swede had already distanced the Estonian. Verba returned to P2 a long way behind Nellegard, with Colucci following in 3rd ahead of Loomets and Kostrzewa. Nellegard won with a lead of 3.7″. Loomets finally took 2nd place ahead of Collucci, then Verba 4th and Kostrzewa 5th.
