OK-Junior Timed Qualifying: Krutogolov on pole in Franciacorta

The third round of the WSK Super Master Series opened on Friday morning with OK-Junior Qualifying. The most popular category brought together no fewer than 96 drivers on the dry Franciacorta track under partly overcast skies and a temperature of 8°.

Session 1: Kamyab – 48”167
Niklas Schaufler (KR/Iame) was very competitive from the start of the session, but Roman Kamyab (LN/TM) ended up being the fastest in 48’167, 76 thousandths quicker. Iskender Zulfikari (KR/Iame) took 3rd place ahead of Sebastian Minns (LN/TM) and Arjen Kräling (KR/Iame). Aloïs Girardet (Energy/TM) set an interesting 10th time, Matéo Rivals (Sodi/TM) finished 22nd and Théo Battisti (Sodi/TM) 30th.

Session 2: Illife – 48”147
François Kerdal (CRG/TM) was among the fastest, then Filippo Sala (LN/TM) and Rocco Coronel (KR/Iame) shared the lead with Dean Hoogendorn (KR/Iame). However, it was Jack Illife (Exprit/TM) who finished 1st with a third and final lap of 48’147, provisional pole a tenth ahead of Hoogendorn, then Ilie Tristan Crisan (Tony Kart/Vortex), Sala 4th and Teoh Travis (Sodi/TM) 5th. Louis Cochet (KR/Iame) was 21st.

Session 3: Krutogolov – 48”07
Lev Krutogolov (Tony Kart/Iame) was one of the early leaders in this final session before taking pole position with a 4th place lap of 48”074. Christian Costoya (Parolin/TM) followed at just 2 thousandths, with Bosco Arias (KR/Iame) 3rd, 27 thousandths behind, Henry Domain (Energy/TM) 4th, almost 2 tenths behind, and Oliver Kinmark (Tony Kart/TM) 5th. Thomas Pradier (KR/Iame) followed in 6th place, Borys Lyzen (Sodi/TM) 8th and Dries van Langendonck (Exprit/TM) 9th. Lilian Soares (Redspeed/Vortex) started in 13th place and Maël Le Marchand (Kosmic/Vortex) finished 25th.
