MacLaughlin the OK poleman at Cremona

OK Qualifying for the WSK Super Master Series brought together 58 drivers on the wet Cremona track.

Session 1: Gomez – 1’03”761
Oleksandr Bondarev (KR/Iame) was followed by Guy Albag (KR/Iame) and David Bogdan Cosma Cristofor (KR/Iame). Mees Houben (Birel ART/TM) then moved into 2nd place. Bondarev was eventually edged out by Gabriel Gomez (CRG/Iame) by 0.166s, who clocked a fifth-lap time of 1’03”761. Oscar Repetto (KR/Iame) finished 3rd, 2 tenths behind, followed by Kian Fardin (KR/Iame) 4th and Anatoly Khavalkin (Parolin/TM) 5th. Andy Consani (Sodi/TM) was 19th.

Session 2: MacLaughlin – 1’03”314
Lenn Nijs (KR/Iame) dominated the 2nd session against Gerasim Skulanov (KR/Iame) and Stepan Antonov (Energy/TM). Fionn MacLaughlin (KR/Iame) came back into the lead on the fourth lap and took pole position in 1’03”314 with a 0.133” lead over Skulanov. Jimmy Helias (KR/Iame) moved up to 3rd at the last moment, almost 3 tenths ahead of Antonov and Nijs. Ean Eyckmans (Birel ART/TM) finished 7th, Zac Drummond (Parolin/TM) 10th, Tom Dussol (CRG/Iame) 15th, Louis Iglesias (CRG/Iame) 17th and Thomas Quincé (Tony Kart/Vortex) 25th.
