Mini Prefinals for Lopez and Girardello

The sun in Franciacorta managed to raise the temperature to 8°C for the Mini Prefinals of the WSK Final Cup.

Prefinal A: Lopez at the finish
Mariano Lopez (Parolin/Iame) was hot on the heels of Devin Walz (Parolin/Iame), with Alessandro Truchot (Parolin/Iame) several places behind in 3rd, followed by Michele Orlando (DR/TM). Walz resisted the pressure put on him by Lopez, as did Truchot against Orlando. Rien Esteves (KR/Iame) moved into the top five on the seventh lap after making up 11 places. Lopez attacked on the final lap to take the win from Walz, while Orlando overtook Truchot for 3rd place ahead of Esteves, who was back in contact.

Prefinal B: Legenkyi penalised, Girardello wins
William Calleja (Parolin/Iame) got off to an excellent start ahead of Ilie Tristan Crisan (Tony Kart/Vortex), with Oleksandr Legenkyi (KR/Iame) quickly moving up to P2. Zack Zhu (EKS/TM) crashed out at the back of the field. Crisan regained the lead at the halfway point with Legenkyi in his wake, while Calleja returned to 3rd position. The Australian regained 1st position on lap 8, passing Crisan. The ninth lap changed the situation with Legenkyi leading ahead of Gioele Girardello (Parolin/TM) and Oliver Sini (Tony Kart/Vortex). Legenkyi was penalised 3” for a bad manoeuvre and finished 6th. Victory went to Girardello ahead of Sini, with Michael Mc Gaughy (Parolin/Iame) finishing 3rd. Zhu was 16th.
