OK Prefinal disrupted by light rain, won by Kutskov

Under threatening weather conditions, the OK Prefinal of the WSK Euro Series concluded on Sunday morning in Sarno.

Anatoly Khavalkin (Parolin/TM) got off to an excellent start and took the lead ahead of Dmitry Matveev (KR/Iame), Salim Hanna (KR/Iame) and Kirill Kutskov (KR/Iame). Luigi Coluccio (Tony Kart/Vortex) was soon back in 5th place. Khavalkin had a lead of several tenths over Matveev, who was nevertheless closing in. Matveev regained the lead on lap 5, followed by Hanna who took 1st place on lap 6 ahead of Khavalkin, then Matveev and Kutskov. The rain began to fall, albeit lightly for the moment. Kutskov led ahead of Matveev, with Coluccio and Khavalkin battling it out for 3rd place. The rain stopped and the track remained mostly dry. Hanna moved back up to 5th ahead of Sebastiano Pavan (Tony Kart/Vortex). Kutskov increased his lead to 7 tenths over Matveev, followed at 7 tenths by Khavalkin. Coluccio was 4th at 1.8 seconds. A few drops reduced grip and the race was stopped with the red flag. Kutskov won ahead of Matveev and Khavalkin, with Coluccio 4th and Hanna 5th. Andrea Dupé (KR/Iame) finished 14th.
