Mini Prefinal: Cosma Cristofor takes the honours

The track at Sarno was generally dry on Sunday morning despite very cloudy skies for the Mini Prefinal of Round 2 of the WSK Euro Series. Devin Walz (Parolin/Iame) led by more than 7 tenths on the first lap ahead of William Calleja (Parolin/Iame) and Bogdan Cosma Cristofor (KR/Iame), then Ludovico Mazzola (Tony Kart/Vortex) and Sebastian Eskandari Marandi (Tony Kart/Vortex). Zack Zhu (EKS/TM) had already made up 10 places. Cosma Cristofor was closing in on Walz, with Mazzola close behind in 3rd, followed by Bruno Priam (Parolin/TM). Mazzola regained 1st place on lap 5. Cosma Cristofor then regained the lead ahead of Priam. Walz led going into the final lap, but Cosma Cristofor took the lead from Mazzola, with Walz 3rd, Priam 4th and Calleja 5th. Andrea Manni (Parolin/Iame), who had been 7th for a long time, finished 9th, Zhu had made up 14 places to 15th and Alessandro Truchot (Parolin/Iame) lost ground at the end of the race to 16th.
