Wackersdorf: Mizzoni poleman in KZ2 Masters

On Friday morning, the 72 drivers aged 35 and over entered in the FIA Karting KZ2 Masters International Super Cup took part in Qualifying Practice in two sessions under sunny skies and a temperature of 22°C at Wackersdorf.

Session 1: Bray – 46”300
Davide Forè (Sodi/TM) was the fastest on the second and third laps and improved to 46”419 on his fourth lap. Daniel Bray (Parolin/TM) took the lead, Forè fought back, but Bray finished in the lead with a fifth lap in 46”300. Forè was 2nd at 57 thousandths, then Riccardo Nalon (Parolin/TM) 3rd at two tenths, Thomas Neumann (Birel ART/TM) 4th and Sven Salzmann (Birel ART/TM) 5th. Thomas Mich (Birel ART/TM) was 9th at 0.429”, Brice De Gaye (Sodi/TM) 17th.

Session 2: Mizzoni – 46”294
Emmanuel Ducrot (Sodi/TM) drove an excellent first lap. Rasmus Haugard (Tony Kart/Vortex) then challenged Alessandro Manetti (CRG/TM) for P1. Mirko Mizzoni (Italcorse/TM) took pole position in 46’294 on lap 6, followed by Manteii 63 thousandths back. Jeroen Bos (KR/TM) was 3rd at 1.5 tenths, Emanuele Simonetti (Parolin/TM) 4th and Andre Nicastro (Tony Kart/Vortex) 5th at 2 tenths. Ducrot finished 9th at 0.382”, Sébastien Leder (Sodi/TM) 17th, Thierry Delré (Mach1/Modena) 20th, Yan Vuillermoz (Birel ART/TM) 21st and Grégory Leder (Sodi/TM) 23rd.
