Tarnvanichkul wins a thrilling OK Final

With 25 laps to go in temperatures of 30°C, the OK Final of the fourth round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series promised to be a hot affair in Cremona in more ways than one.
Enzo Tarnvanichkul (KR/Iame) led from the start against Luigi Coluccio (Tony Kart/Vortex). Several incidents changed the situation. Alex Powell (KR/Iame) was the victim of a massive collision with a number of drivers, then Rene Lammers (Parolin/TM) and Louis Iglesias (CRG/Iame) made contact and retired. Tarnvanichkul escaped ahead of Coluccio, Kean Nakamura-Berta (KR/Iame) was 3rd ahead of Sebastiano Pavan (Tony Kart/Vortex) and David Walther (Tony Kart/Vortex). Tomass Stolcermanis (Energy/TM) was 6th, followed by Anantoly Khavalkin (Parolin/TM). Ean Eyckmans (Tony Kart/Vortex) moved up 18 places to 8th. Nakamura-Berta moved up to 2nd, overtaking Coluccio. Dmitry Matveev (KR/Iame) also dropped back. The complicated situation allowed Arthur Poulain (KR/Iame) to move up 12 places to 18th. Nakamura-Berta pushed hard to reduce the gap to the leader, while Walther attacked Coluccio for 3rd position before the halfway mark. By the 14th lap, Nakamura-Berta was just 4 tenths behind his team-mate Tarnvanichkul, more than 3 seconds ahead of the chasing pack. With three laps to go, the difference was reduced to 2 tenths. Nakamura attacked on the final lap, but Tarnvanichkul was unimpressed and finally took victory. Walther followed in 3rd place ahead of Coluccio and Pavan. Stolcermains was 6th, Khavalkin 7th, Eyckmans 8th ahead of Ghazi Motlekar +20 places and Francisco Macedo +26 places. Poulain finished 17th (+13 places).
