OK-Junior victory for Ramaekers, Antonov champion

Christian Costoya (Parolin/TM) and Thibaut Ramaekers (KR/Iame) shared the front row of the OK-Junior Final of the WSK Super Master Series in Cremona. The weather was partly cloudy, the temperature 20° and the track dry.

David Cosma Cristofor (KR/Iame) was back to P2 behind Costoya, but Ramaekers was soon back in 2nd place. Zac Drummond (Parolin/TM) was 3rd ahead of Filippo Sala (Sodi/TM), but the positions were soon reversed. Cosma Cristofor was 5th ahead of Noah Wolfe (Birel ART/TM) and Gerasim Skulanov (Birel ART/TM). The battle remained uncertain at the front with Costoya, Ramekers, Sala, Drummond and Cosma Cristofor all very close. Stepan Antonov (KR/Iame) continued to climb and reached 10th position on lap 10. Ramaekers then took P1 ahead of Sala and Costoya, which shifted the championship standings in favour of Antonov, who moved up to 3rd position. Taym Saleh (KR/Iame) entered the top five ahead of Lewis Wherrell (Exprit/TM). Antonov moved up to 2nd place ahead of Sala who had not protected his position sufficiently. Ramaekers won a second ahead of Antonov, the WSK Super Master Series champion. Cosma Cristofor finished 3rd, passing Sala in the last corner. Wherrell was 5th ahead of Saleh and Niklas Schaufler (KR/Iame), the fastest driver of the race. Costoya was 8th.
