KZ2 Prefinal: Denner wins ahead of van Walstijn

Senna van Walstijn (Sodi/TM) started well, but Cristian Bertuca (Birel ART/TM) was already putting pressure on him, while Émilien Denner (Sodi/TM) was 3rd, well ahead of Yevan David (Sodi/TM). Van Walstijn reacted to an attack by Bertuca and Bertuca lost ground. Matteo Vigano (Birel ART/TM) then led the chase behind the Sodikart trio. Denner then took the lead against his team-mate who had openly facilitated his task in a team spirit. Vigano overcame David and moved up to 3rd place after five laps. Bertuca came back to 4th place by passing David on lap 10. Denner remained in the lead more than 6 tenths ahead of van Walstijn, closely followed by Vigano. Bertuca was 4th at 2”. Sodi double with Denner winning and van Walstijn second. Vigano 3rd, Jean Luyet (Tony Kart/Vortex) 4th and Giuseppe Palomba (Birel ART/TM) 5th. Bertuca dropped from 4th to 9th place due to a spoiler penalty. Freddie Slater (Birel ART/TM) had made up 13 places to finish sixth with the fastest lap, but dropped back to eleventh due to a badly positioned spoiler.
