David Cosma Cristofor wins OK-Junior pole in a tight Qualifying at Cremona

The fourth and final round of the WSK Super Master Series takes place this weekend in Cremona with 81 OK-Junior drivers. Late Friday morning, Qualifying took place under a sunny sky with a temperature of 15°. The track was dry.

Session 1: Costoya – 47”603
Scott Lindblom (Tony Kart/Vortex) was the fastest on the first time over the timing line ahead of Sebastian Lehtimaki (Tony Kart/Vortex). Lindblom improved, but Christian Costoya (Parolin/TM) set the fastest time of 47”603 on lap 2. Lindblom followed by 26 thousandths, then Lehtimaki 3rd by 0,133”. Ludovico Busso (Tony Kart/Vortex) and Gerasim Skulanov (Birel ART/TM) completed the top five.

Session 2: Schaufler – 47”699
Filippo Sala (Sodi/TM) had been leading since the first lap, but Niklas Schaufler (KR/Iame) was finally the fastest with a second lap of 47”699, 83 thousandths ahead of Max Houben with Sala less than a tenth behind. Kit Belofski (Birel ART/TM) finished 4th and Eliott Kaczinski (Tony Kart/Vortex) 5th. Stepan Antonov (KR/Iame) followed in 6th place ahead of Dries van Langendonck (Energy/TM).

Session 3: Cosma Cristofor – 47”527
Lewis Wherrell (Exprit/TM) was fastest on the first lap ahead of Tomas Gender. David Cosma Cristofor took pole position in 47”527 on the second lap, 66 thousandths ahead of Thibaut Ramaekers (KR/Iame). Zac Drummond (Parolin/TM) was 3rd by 0,170”, Noah Wolfe (Birel ART/TM) 4th and Oleksandr Bondarev (KR/Iame) 5th at 0,276”. The only Frenchman in this category, Louis Cochet (Sodi/TM) finished 16th.
