Coluccio wins OK after a spectacular race

David Walther (Tony Kart/Vortex) was still leading after the first lap against Jan Przyrowski (Tony Kart/Vortex) and Luis James Egozi (Tony Kart/Vortex). Thomas Strauven (LN/Vortex) was 4th, but Luigi Coluccio (Tony Kart/Vortex) changed the situation by passing Egozi in 3rd. Rene Lammers (Parolin/TM) came back into the top five and passed Strauven. Martin Molnar (Energy/TM) and Tomass Stolcermanis (Energy/TM) were close behind in 7th and 8th place. As Coluccio moved up to 2nd, Przyrowski also lost out to Egozi, now in 3rd. Walther maintained a lead of half a second over the factory armada. Przyrowski lost some more ground and Lammers reached 4th position, followed by Stolcermanis. As half-distance approached, Coluccio closed in on the leader Walther, whereas Lammers was very fast. The resistance of Walther led to a regrouping that was broken on lap 10 when Coluccio took the lead, followed by Egozi and Lammers. Stolcermains was 4th and Jimmy Helias (Tony Kart/Vortex) 5th. Egozi had to let Coluccio go and concentrate on defending his 2nd place against Lammers. However, it was Stolcermanis who took P2 on lap 12. Lap 14 was epic. Lammers came out P2 ahead of Egozi and Stolcermanis, then Strauven. Coluccio increased his lead to 1.7″ with two laps to go and was able to manage his end of the race. Lammers kept the pace with a new best time. Coluccio won, Lammers got 2nd place at 8 tenths, followed by Egozi at a few lengths. 4th place for Stolcermanis on the line, 8th after a spoiler penalty, Strauven was 4th, Helias 5th, then Walther 6th and Pryrowski 7th. Maxens Verbrugge (Birel ART/TM) finished 14th, Arthur Poulain (Tony Kart/Vortex) 14th on the line was 22nd after a spoiler penalty.
