Mini: Baglin and Hoogendoorn win the Prefinals

The weather had cleared up on Sunday morning after the fog that led to the cancellation of the warm-ups. The temperature reached 8° for the Mini Prefinals at the second round.

Prefinal A: Baglin beats Zulfikari
Iskender Zulfikari (Parolin/Iame) took the lead over Noah Baglin (KR/Iame) on the second lap with Ilia Berezkin (KR/Iame) close behind in 3rd. In 4th place Pietro Bagutti (Parolin/TM) was 1.8 seconds behind, followed by Melvin Kalousdian (Tony Kart/TM). Bodgan Cosma Cristofor (KR/Iame) quickly moved up to 4th position, 3″ behind the leading trio still led by Zulfikari. But Baglin regained the lead on the penultimate lap and won by 0.115” over Zulfikari, followed by Berezkin. Bagutti regained his 4th position ahead of Kalousdian and Cosma Cristofor. François Kerdal (KR/Iame) had lost 10 places to 25th.

Prefinal B: Hoogendoorn wins
Zeyu Shen (Parolin/TM) dominated the first lap ahead of Bosco Arias Chavarri (KR/Iame) and Illie Crisan (Tony Kart/Vortex). Dean Hoogendoorn (KR/Iame) was 4th. William Calleja (Parolin/TM) was soon back in the top five. Hoogendoorn took the lead on the third lap with Arias in his wake. The battle was on in the top four with Shen moving back into 2nd then Crisan replacing him and taking the lead. Shen moved back into the lead ahead of Hoogendoorn. The Dutchman attacked on the penultimate lap. Hoogendoorn took the win ahead of Arias Chavarri and Crisan. William Calleja (Parolin/TM) jumped to P4 ahead of Devin Walz (Parolin/Iame).
