Van Langendonck takes OK-Junior pole position in Lonato

The WSK Super Master Series started this Friday morning in Lonato with the OK-Junior Qualifying Practice for the 90 participants. Clear skies and a dry track, but the temperature was still cold with 3° on the thermometer.

Session 1
Davide Bottaro (Tony Kart/Vortex) was the fastest on the third and fourth laps in 48”159. Mees Houben (Tony Kart/Vortex) regained the lead on the fifth lap, but Christian Costoya (Parolin/TM) finished in 47”779, a tenth ahead of Houben and Bottaro, Stepan Antonov (KR/Iame) 4th and Gaspar Benett (IPK/TM) 5th followed by Zac Drummond (Parolin/TM) and David Cosma Cristofor (KR/Iame). Lisa Billard (Exprit/Vortex) finished 28th ahead of Maël Le Marchand (Kosmic/Vortex).

Session 2
Oleksandr Bondarev (KR/Iame) led on the third lap against Borys Lizen (Tony Kart/Vortex) and Kian Fardin (KR/Iame). Filippo Sala (Sodi/TM) briefly took the lead on his fifth lap. Bondarev set the best lap and took the provisional pole in 47”531, a tenth ahead of Elliot Kaczynski (Tony Kart/Vortex) and Sala. Gerasim Skulanov (Birel ART/TM) finished 4th and Fardin 5th. Louis Cochet (Sodi/TM) was 17th.

Session 3
Jack Illife (Parolin/TM) was ahead of Jindrich Pesl (IPK/TM) on the third lap, followed by Sebastian Lethimaki (Tony Kart/Vortex) and Dries van Langendonck (Energy/TM). Van Langendonck secured pole position on lap 5 in 47”464, 67 thousandths ahead of Pesl and a tenth faster than Lehtimaki. Niklas Schaufler (KR/Iame) finished 4th, more than two tenths behind and Scott Lindblom (Tony Kart/Vortex) was 5th. Andy Consani (Parolin/TM) was 10th and Romain Kintzinger (Tony Kart/Vortex) 28th.
