OK: Matveev on pole in Lonato

42 drivers made up the OK category of the WSK Champions Cup in Lonato. Qualifying was held under an overcast sky, 6° on the thermometer and a dry track.

Session 1
The hierarchy took a long time to emerge, but Dmitry Matveev (KR/Iame) finally concluded as leader with an excellent last lap of 46”541, relegating Kiano Blum (KR/Iame) by 2.5 tenths. Enea Frey (KR/Iame) was 3rd ahead of Emma Felbermayer (KR/Iame) and Gustav Wisniewski (Exprit/TM).

Session 2
After an uncertain battle, David Walther (Tony Kart/Vortex) was just a thousandth of a second from pole position with his final lap of 46”542. Martin Molnar (Energy/TM) was 2nd, more than a tenth behind, followed closely by Emanuele Olivieri (IPK/TM). Maksimilian Popov (Tony Kart/Vortex) finished 4th and Tereza Babickova (Tony Kart/TM) 5th ahead of Guillaume Bouzar (Tony Kart/Vortex). Andrea Dupe (Sodi/TM) was 17th.
