Fans of karting history will remember the DAP brand. A pure product of the Parrilla family, in the 70s and 90s DAP built chassis and engines under its own name for DAP/DAP sets with an evocative name. DAP has participated in the history of karting with legendary drivers such as Ayrton Senna and Terry Fullerton. The DAP/DAP that Senna used in the 1981 World Championship in Parma was sold at auction for almost €60,000 a few years ago.
KR Global Motorsport has just added DAP to its chassis catalogue alongside Kart Republic and Alonso Kart. Since its launch in 2017, Dino Chiesa’s brand has performed exceptionally well, quickly capturing a significant share of the competition market and achieving an impressive amount of success. KR is set to revive a prestigious name in karting history with DAP.
