Portimão: Marsh takes the lead in Junior Max

The Junior Max Qualifying Heats of the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals did not escape the vagaries of the weather before the skies stabilised on Thursday afternoon. Scott Marsh (GBR) took the lead with a win and a 4th place, while his compatriots Charlie Hart (GBR), Vinnie Philips (GBR) and Ethan Jeff-Hall (GBR) were all very efficient. Klayden Ensor-Smith (ZAF) moved up from 11th to 5th position. Maxence Bouvier (FRA) made remarkable progress to 8th position from his 23rd place in Qualifying. Mathis Carnejac (FRA) kept a good pace to come back to 11th while Louis Iglesias (FRA) was victim of a very lively third heat. He still managed to finish 34th on Thursday evening.
