RMCGF 2022 Portimão: Micro Pole for Minto

The grip was not perfect with traces of dampness and the rain threatened on Portimao during the Qualifying Practice for the 36 Micro Max in the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals equipped with Birel ART chassis.

After Martim Marques (PRT), Majus Mazinas (LTU) held the lead for a while, then Daniel Minto (GBR) regained the advantage over Albert Friend (GBR) after several spins in the field. Minto kept the pole position – 1’08”587 – until the end. Maxim Becker (DEU) followed by 18 thousandths. Marco Manson (NZL) and Kacper Rajpold (POL) were tied a tenth further back. Friend was 5th.
