Kai Rillaerts already the fastest in the RMCIT Senior practice

The Qualifying sessions of the Rotax Max Challenge International Trophy started on Thursday morning with the Senior category and its 88 participants. The sky was partly cloudy in Le Mans and the temperature was 20°. The drivers used the last four minutes of their session.

Session 1: Stiak – 52”635
Bastian Leblais (Redspeed/Rotax) drove alone in the lead for a long time.
Camille Mcfarlane (Tony Kart/Rotax) was the fastest on lap 2 ahead of Janne Stiak (Kosmic/Rotax) and Kovacs Zsombor (Exprit/Totax). Stiak improved to 52’635 on the third lap. Nolan Lemeray (EOS/Rotax) came in 2nd at 0.152”, ahead of Zsombor, Devyan Roest (Tony Kart/Rotax) finished 4th and Micah Barthélémy (LN/Rotax) 5th.

Session 2: Rillaerts – 52”620
Andrea Giudice (Energy/Rotax) was in the lead on the second lap ahead of Jayden Thien (Gillard/Rotax) and Théodore Primault (Redspeed/Rotax). But Kai Rillaerts (Sodi/Rotax) improved to 52’620, provisional pole, on the third lap. Giudice followed by 0,254”, then Louis Marchal (EOS/Rotax) 3rd, Luca Schlegl (Sodi/Rotax) and Kamal Agha (LN/Rotax) making up the top five.

Session 3: Caldaras – 52”757
Lewis Gilbert (Tony Kart/Rotax) was the fastest of Session 3 on his second run ahead of Kylian Tarnier (Tony Kart/Rotax) and Oscar Pellemele (Sodi/Rotax). Gilbert improved to 52”791, but Enzo Caldaras (Sodi/Rotax) was ahead of him in 52”757 on the fourth lap, followed by Karel Schulz (Tony Kart/Rotax) and Mathis Parlant (Tony Kart/Rotax). Mitch Heijnert (TB Kart/Rotax) took 5th place in a slower, but very close session.
