Franciacorta: Second French pole position for Deligny in OK

Qualifying Practice for the FIA European Karting Championship – OK took place on Friday lunchtime in the warm weather of Franciacorta with 71 drivers present. They entered the track between 4′ and 3′ from the end of the session.

Session 1: Deligny – 46”754
Caspian Hagman (Tony Kart/Vortex) was the fastest on the first lap, but Enzo Deligny (Parolin/TM) took the lead with 46”990 on the second lap ahead of Cristian Bertuca (Birel ART/TM) and Alex Powell (KR/Iame). Deligny then improved to 46”754, which remained the fastest time, followed by Powell by 2 tenths, then Bertuca by 3 tenths. Hagman secured 4th place and Zachary David (KR/Iame) 5th.

Session 2: Cuman – 46’917
Yevan David (Exprit/TM) did not manage to start at the exit of the Parc Ferme. Oscar Pedersen (Tony Kart/Vortex) was the fastest on the first lap. Nicolo Cuman (Exprit/TM) improved to 47”106 on the second lap. He improved in 46”968, then 46”917 on his fourth lap. David Walther (Tony Kart/Vortex) followed by 0,180” against Maksim Orlov (Parolin/TM), then Pedersen and Luka Sammalisto (KR/Iame). Freddie Slater (LN/Vortex) was 11th, then Arthur Rogeon (KR/Iame) 13th ahead of James Egozi (Tony Kart/Vortex). Pedro Hiltbrand (Birel ART/TM) finished 18th.

Session 3: Nakamura-Berta – 47”070
The last session took its time to enter the arena. Kean Nakamura-Berta (KR/Iame) achieved the best first lap ahead of Tomass Stolcermanis (Energy/TM). Nakamura progressed in 47”070 against Tuukka Taponen (Tony Kart/Vortex) and Luigi Coluccio (Tony Kart/Vortex). The performances were then stagnant. Harley Kebble (Birel ART/TM) and Karol Pasoewicz (Birel ART/TM) completed the top five for Birel ART. Stolcermanis finished 6th, Evan Giltaire (KR/Iame) 8th, Joe Turney (Tony Kart/Vortex) 10th ahead of Douwe Dedecker (KR/Iame) on his OK debut.
