Morgan Caron joins Saintéloc Racing to work on new projects

A former kart driver, Morgan Caron then moved on to important positions at the FFSA, then at the FIA before crossing paths with Nicolas Todt and joining his All Road Management structure. He has been in charge of Charles Leclerc’s career for the last five years, as well as the Richard Mille Young Talent Academy. After this rewarding experience, he decided to take up a new challenge by joining the Saintéloc Racing team at the beginning of 2022 while continuing his work in driver management.

Saintéloc Racing, a French team based in Saint-Étienne, has experienced an impressive rise in several disciplines since its creation by Sébastien Chétail in 2004. Involved in national and international competition, Saintéloc Racing has had numerous successes in the Andros Trophy, on the circuit in GT3 and GT4 as well as in WRC and ERC rallies. The company, which has developed rapidly, does not intend to rest on its laurels. Its current strategy involves the creation of a new French initiative from karting to the upper echelons of single-seater racing, Morgan’s preferred field.

A new French pathway
Morgan Caron has joined the general management of Saintéloc Racing as Managing Director and is in charge of developing this new branch. The first activity to be launched involves F4. Three latest-generation Tatuus cars in the Saintéloc colours, powered by an Abarth 1.4l turbo engine, will take part in the Spanish F4 Championship from the middle of the season, at the Spa Francorchamps race on 8th and 9th July. Frenchman Théophile Nael is one of the three drivers selected. Intensive tests are being carried out during all the official sessions. The Saintéloc Racing department also plans to enter the Italian and German F4 Championships.

Julien Simon-Chautemps, Kimi Raïkkönen’s former engineer, who has worked in F1 with Lotus, Renault, Sauber and Alfa Romeo, is the technical manager of the single-seater activity. After the debut in F4, Saintéloc Racing has already scheduled its entry into FRECA for 2023. The higher categories will then gradually follow.

At the other end of the programme, karting will soon be the gateway to this new programme with the project of setting up a team in international racing. The training of drivers is a priority common to all levels of the initiative. Single-seaters will not be the only objective of the project, as GT and Endurance also offer good possibilities for progress.
