Pesl adds La Conca Mini Final to his WSK Super Master Series score

Grey skies, cooler weather and windy conditions accompanied the Mini Final of the WSK Super Master Series Round 3 in La Conca. Dries van Lagendonck (Parolin/TM) and Kilian Josseron (KR/Iame) were on the front row ahead of Jindrich Pesl (Parolin/Iame) and Iacopo Martinese (Parolin/Iame).

Pesl took the lead at the start of the race ahead of Josseron and Martinese, then Iskender Zulfikari (KR/Iame) and Christian Costoya (Parolin/TM). Poleman Van Langendonck had dropped to 7th. The Babyrace drivers Pesl and Martinese quickly distanced themselves from their opponents. Zulfikari crashed out, Costoya moved up to 3rd ahead of Josseron and van Langendonck 5th. Filippo Sala (KR/Iame) then moved into the top five ahead of Josseron. The gap between the two leaders was reduced to 6 tenths, Costoya was 3rd by 4”, and van Langendonck tried to catch up with him. Martinese joined Pesl with two laps to go. Pesl nevertheless won a tenth ahead of his team-mate Martinese. Costoya took 3rd place on the podium after a six-position climb, van Langendonck finished 4th and Sala 5th. Louis Cochet (Parolin/Iame) retired after five laps.
