OK Prefinals: Nakamura and Severiukhin win

The sky was overcast for the OK Prefinals of the WSK Super Master Series at La Conca.

Cristian Bertuca (Birel ART/TM) was hot on the heels of leader Kean Nakamura Berta (KR/Iame) from the start of Prefinal A. Rashid Al Dhaheri (KR/Iame) was 3rd ahead of Yuanpu Cui (KR/Iame) and Luis Egozi (Tony Kart/Vortex). In 5th position, Tomass Stolcermanis (Energy/TM) started to make up for the delay at the start. Extremely fast, Nakamura escaped in the lead of the race while Bertuca resisted as best he could against Al Dhaheri and Cui. Nakamura had almost an 3″ advantage at the halfway point, Cui had moved up to 3rd in the chase to Bertuca. Egozi made an impressive comeback by reaching 3rd position ahead of Cui and Al Dhaheri. Nakamura took a masterful victory with a 3.6″ lead, Bertuca was rewarded for his efforts by holding onto 2nd ahead of Egozi, Al Dhaheri and Cui in 5th.

Joe Turney (Tony Kart/Vortex) maintained his lead at the start of Prefinal B, Artem Severiukhin (Tony Kart/Vortex) moved up to 2nd ahead of Matteo De Palo (KR/Iame). Severiukhin quickly took the lead. Alex Powell (KR/Iame) retired. Freddie Slater (LN/Vortex) moved up to 4th ahead of Luigi Coluccio (Tony Kart/Vortex) who was several lengths behind. Severiukhin made the difference with several fastest times and broke away from the chasing group led by Turney. Slater overtook De Palo for 3rd place, Zachary David (KR/Iame) had moved into the top five at the expense of Coluccio. Turney continued to fight his way back into the lead. Severiukhin did not give up and won the race 1,3” ahead of Turney. Slater finished 3rd ahead of De Palo and David.
