Winter Series: nearly 140 entries at Franciacorta

Named Winter Series, the new opening event of the Champions of the Future by RGMMC will take place this weekend, from 24 to 27 February on the Italian circuit of Franciacorta. The entry list is approaching 140 with 56 OK-Junior, 43 OK and 39 KZ2. Like the other Winter Cups already held in other categories, the Winter Series is a single event that does not count towards the championship from which it originates.

OK-Junior and OK will contest the last round of the FIA European Karting Championship on this new track at the beginning of July, which is still a long way off and quite different in view of the weather conditions, while KZ2 has no deadline this year in Franciacorta. However, it will be interesting to follow the performance of this circuit which has not yet been used by the FIA Karting categories. The factory teams, the big teams and most of the protagonists of the beginning of the year will be present.
