Ferreira poleman in OK at Lonato in WSK Super Master

On Friday morning, the sky was overcast in Lonato, the track was dry and the temperature was 9° for the OK Qualifying session of the second round of the WSK Super Master Series with LeCont tyres.

Tuukka Taponen (Tony Kart/Vortex) immediately took the lead, a good distance from his rivals in the first session. Matheus Ferreira (KR/Iame) and Alex Powell (KR/Iame) then challenged him for 1st place, with Joe Turney (Tony Kart/Vortex) and Maksim Orlov (Parolin/TM) in the top five. Ferreira finished as fastest with a time of 45’989. Powell was 2nd by 0.147”, followed by Taponen, then Akshay Bohra (KR/Iame) 4th and Turney 5th.

Kean Nakamura Berta (KR/Iame) was competing with Freddie Slater (LN/Vortex) and Cristian Bertuca (Birel ART/TM) to lead the second session. Enzo Deligny (Parolin/TM) was in the top three. Ean Eyckmans (Tony Kart/Vortex) joined the fight as well as Luigi Coluccio (Tony Kart/Vortex) who was the fastest with 45’998. Bertuca followed by 13 thousandths, then Deligny 3rd by 32 thousandths, ahead of Slater and Eyckmans at 47 thousandths.
