Denner wins KZ2 pole position in Lonato

The KZ2 category had no less than 93 participants for the second round of the WSK Super Master Series in Lonato. The sky was slightly clearer, the track was dry and the temperature was 9° for the Qualifying Practice.

Emilien Denner (Sodi/TM) led series 1 ahead of Viktor Gustafsson (CRG/TM) and finished in 45”272. Pedro Hiltbrand (Birel ART/TM) was 3rd, one tenth behind Paavo Tonteri (CRG/TM) and Ivan Klymenko (Maranello/TM). Tom Leuillet (Birel ART/TM) was 6th ahead of Davide Foré (Drago Corse/TM), Arthur Carbonnel (Sodi/TM) 11th and Craig Tanic (Birel ART/TM) 14th.

The second session took longer to get under 46” and was still slower than the first session, which came just after Mini. Senna van Walstijn (Sodi/TM) set the fastest lap with 45”576, 23 thousandths ahead of David Trefilov (Maranello/TM). Matteo Vigano (Birel ART/TM) finished 3rd, 44 thousandths behind, Stan Pex (KR/TM) 4th and Matteo Zanchi (Birel ART/TM) 5th. Mattéo Spirgel (Sodi/TM) was 19th and Damyen Droux (Sodi/TM) 25th.

Adrien Renaudin (Tony Kart/Vortex) was on the pace from the beginning of the third session which also struggled to keep up with the two previous sessions. Jérémy Iglesias (CRG/TM) took on Lorenzo Travisanutto (Parolin/TM), with Renudin coming in between. Travisanutto finished on 45”728, a hundredth ahead of Renaudin and 26 thousandths ahead of Iglesias. Giuseppe Palomba (Birel ART/TM) was 4th and Alex Maragliano (Birel ART/TM) 5th at 52 thousandths. Thomas Imbourg (Sodi/TM) was 15th, Celian Gallasin (Intrepid/TM) was 21st, Jérémy Potain (Sodi/TM) 26th and Mickaël Potain (Sodi/TM) 30th.
