FIA Karting is pleased to announce the appointment of Simone Perego to the newly created position of Championship Manager. The 26-year-old Italian has been working for the FIA for three years. From 2021 onwards, the FIA’s karting department has been delighted with his involvement in various projects. As a karting driver himself, he has a good knowledge of the racing world.
Under the responsibility of FIA Karting Executive Secretary Alban Martinet, his new position will make him the entry point and privileged contact of the participants in the FIA Karting Championships, Cups and Trophies, in close collaboration with the promoter RGMMC and its President, James Geidel. He will also continue to invest in the overall development of the discipline, particularly with regard to the medium-term objective of carbon neutrality.
