Mini: Pesl and Costoya win WSK Super Master Prefinals

Jindrish Pesl (Parolin/Iame) took the lead in Mini Prefinal A for the WSK Super Master Series in Lonato. Kilian Josseron (KR/Iame) followed well ahead of Iacopo Martinese (Parolin/Iame) and Bogdan Cosma Cristofor (KR/Iame). The duel between the two frontrunners became more and more intense as the race drew to a close and they were separated by less than a tenth. Scott Linblom (EKS/TM) was ahead of Martinese in 3rd place. Pesl protected his lead on the last lap and won the race by 63 thousandths against Josseron. Martinese finished 3rd ahead of Lindblom and Cosma Cristofor and William Caleja (Parolin/TM) 6th. Walter Schulz (KR/Iame) was 32nd.

The inside row of Prefinal B was slower at the start. Christian Costoya (Parolin/TM) immediately took the lead over Filippo Sala (KR/Iame) and Dean Hoogendoorn (Alonso Kart/Iame), followed by Davide Bottaro (Parolin/TM) and Dries van Langendonck (Parolin/TM), who had a bad start. The race was very close between the top three drivers. Oliver Palocko (Parolin/Iame) took 4th place, but van Langendonck dislodged him halfway through the race. Sala then took P1 followed by Hoogendoorn and Costoya. The Spaniard took over the lead with two laps to go. The last lap was epic between the top seven. Costoya won against his team-mate van Langendonck, Palocko was 3rd, Ludovico Mazzola (EKS/TM) 4th, Bottaro 5th, Sala 6th and Hoogendorn 7th. Alessandro Truchot (Parolin/TM) finished 11th. François Dario Kerdal (KR/Iame) had retired.
