Breathless Mini Final leading to van Langendonck’s victory

The expected confrontation between Jindrish Pesl (Parolin/Iame) and Christian Costoya (Parolin/TM) had to wait, as Kilian Josseron (KR/Iame) was 2nd at the start of the Mini Final of the WSK Super Master Series in Lonato. However, Costoya came back to 2nd place on the second lap, 8.5 tenths behind Pesl. Filippo Sala (KR/Iame) was back on Costoya’s heels with Dries van Langendonck (Parolin/TM). Costoya worked hard to reduce the gap to the leader with the support of his team-mate van Langendonck. At the end of the seventh lap of the 10-lap race the gap was bridged. Costoya attacked in the chicane and the Belgian followed him into the next corner. The battle continued with van Langendonck in the lead at the beginning of the last lap. He won by 8 tenths over Pesl, followed by Costoya, disappointed with his 3rd place, and Sala in 4th. Oliver Palocko (Parolin/Iame) took 5th place, 4″ ahead of Iacopo Martinese (Parolin/Iame) and Josseron.
