KSP Photo Agency wins FIA Karting photo contest for the 10th time

Philippe Kalmès has been crowned for the 7th time for the best FIA Karting Photograph of the Year, bringing the number of victories for the KSP Photo Agency to 10 since 2017. Five photographers were selected in Geneva to participate in the final vote at the FIA Karting Awards ceremony in Paris on 18 December 2021. As usual, the guests of the evening made their choice by secret ballot after having had the opportunity to judge the photos presented in large format in Pavillon Gabriel.

The winning photo was taken in Zuera during the final round of the FIA Karting European Championship – Junior 2021. It shows Freddie Slater and Ean Eyckmans congratulating each other at the finish of a particularly lively final that was decided on the last lap. Slater won the race and took the European title, while Eyckmans finished third in the championship. Although the riders’ gaze is not visible, their position, the framing and the light translate in an original way the intensity and the emotion of one of the key moments of the season.
