Travisanutto wins the KZ2 Super Cup

Jean Nomblot (Sodi/TM) rolled over shortly after the start of the KZ2 International Super Cup Final, fortunately without any damage. Lorenzo Travisanutto (Parolin/TM) retained the lead ahead of David Trefilov (Maranello/TM), then Sam Luyet (Tony Kart/Vortex) and Giuseppe Palomba (Birel ART/TM). Senna van Walstijn (Sodi/TM) was already back in 7th place by the second lap, and Trefilov tried to attack Travisanutto, but was passed shortly afterwards by Sam Luyet. Paavo Tonteri (CRG/TM) came into contact with Thomas Imbourg (Sodi/TM) and Danilo Albanese (KR/Iame). Angelo Lombardo (Parolin/TM) and Giacommo Pollini (CRG/TM) were eliminated. Van Walstijn reached 5th position while Travisanutto, leader by 6 tenths in front of S. Luyet and Trefilov, was looking set for a good result. Luyet and Trefilov started to increase the pace. Van Walstin threatened Palomba several times before passing him on lap 8. Jean Luyet (Tony Kart/Vortex) was also 5th and Alession Piccini (Birel ART/TM) 6th.

At the halfway point of the 25 laps, Travisanutto had more than 1,5″ advantage on Sam Luyet, followed closely by Trefilov, van Walstijn was 4th at 7 tenths of a second behind Trefilov. Further back, Hubert Petit (Sodi/TM) had made a big comeback of 12 places to 15th, just behind Arthur Carbonnel (Sodi/TM). Sam Luyet had to retire due to a technical problem. Van Walstijn had attacked Jean Luyet and Trefilov to take 2nd place (+9) more than 4” behind the leader Travisanutto who slowed down slightly in view of the finish. Lorenzo Travisanutto masterfully won the International KZ2 Super Cup 2,5” ahead of the brilliant Senna van Walstijn who made a nine-place recovery. David Trefilov completed the podium, J. Luyet finished 4th, Wharton overtook Piccini on the last lap for 5th place, followed by Fabrizio Rosati (KR/TM).Carbonnel was 8th, then Imbourg 13th with an unhooked spoiler, Petit dropped to 26th after a double penalty.
