Final victory for El Feghali in Mini

13 laps were on the programme for the Mini Final of the Rotax MAX Challenge International Trophy on the circuit of Le Mans on Saturday 31st July at 2 pm. After two false starts, the red flag was out to remind the leading driver of the rules and the race could start. Christopher El Feghali (LBN – KR) kept the lead in front of Roméo Roussel (FRA – KR) and Max Sadurski (NLD – Energy – FJ Motorsport). Markas Silunas (LTU – Praga – Siuskpigiau Pilenai Racing) had gained five places in 4th ahead of Mees Houben (NLD – Exprit – GKS Lemmens Power). Mateja Radenkovic (BEL – Tony Kart) then climbed back up to 5th position after a not very successful start. The top three were grouped together in 3 tenths. Roussel seemed to be biding his time. Halfway through the race, Radenkovic came back to 4th place, passing Houben. He then moved up to 3rd ahead of Sadurski. Roussel attacked El Feghali on lap 10 and the latter replied. Radenkovic had made the connection. Roussel tried again in the last lap, but El Feghali was not intimidated and won the race. Radenkovic took the opportunity to take 2nd place, followed by Sadurski while Roussel finished 4th, far ahead of Houben.
