Champion’s winning comeback in the DD2 Masters Prefinal

Paul Louveau (FRA – Redspeed – DSS) was caught by Vivien Cussac-Picot (FRA – Tony Kart – NPS) at the start of the DD2 Masters Prefinal of the Rotax MAX Challenge International Trophy in Le Mans. Carl Cleirbaut (BEL – Exprit – KMD) remained in contact with the leader, Slawomir Muranski ( POL – Kosmic). Very fast, Rudy Champion (FRA – Kosmic) started his comeback. At mid-race, Louveau was still being followed by Cussac-Picot, whereas Champion had taken 3rd place 1,2” behind. He continued his effort and took 2nd place before attacking Louveau. Champion won by 9 tenths ahead of Cussac-Picot and Louveau. Muranski secured 4th place ahead of Denis Thum (CYP – Tony Kart).
