Aunay-les-Bois : Slater takes the lead with authority in the Junior class

With four wins, Freddie Slater (Kosmic/Vortex) did not hold back during the European Junior Championship rounds in Aunay-les-Bois. The very fine weather and the dry track don’t entirely explain the exceptional performance of the RFM driver who appears to be in great forn. The surprise came from the consistency of Tomass Stolcermanis (Energy/TM) at this level who is now equal to Kirill Kutskov (KR/Iame) who came back well from his 8th in Qualifying. Alex Powell (KR/Iame) also had a good run, while Matheus Ferreira (KR/Iame) was back in the leading group. William Macintyre (Birel ART/TM) was one of the best performers of the day, despite a problem in one heat, along with Luka Sammalisto (KR/Iame) and Maxim Rehm (Kosmic/Vortex).

Arthur Poulain (Kosmic/Vortex) put in a good performance at this level, finishing in the top 10 of a very competitive day. Augustin Bernier (KR/Iame) didn’t lose his footing despite a retirement just after the start. He has a good chance of qualifying, as does Enzo Deligny (Parolin/TM), who also had to retire. A little further back, Hugo Herrouin (Kosmic/Vortex) did not lose out and is ahead of much more experienced drivers. The performance of Jules Champigny Roussel (Sodi/TM) deserves to be highlighted for his first European participation. Maxens Verbrugge (Kosmic/Vortex) had a difficult day after his 35th time. Like him, Clément Outran (KR/Iame), Guillaume Bouzar (Parolin/TM) and Jules Caranta (KR/Iame) are in a difficult position.

All the Juniors have one more heat to go on Sunday morning.
