FIA: Introduction to anti-doping, Wednesday 26 May at 2pm

At the international level the FIA conducts doping tests on around 160 drivers in and out of competition across every discipline, in all continents, each season.

In line with the World Anti-Doping Agency rules, competitors who test positive for a prohibited substance face a standard ban of four years. Drivers, teams, event organisers, and even FIA officials are unaware of when a doping test will be carried out – this serves as a deterrent to potential dopers with the simple premise that they could be caught out at any moment.

To learn more about anti-doping, the InternationalTestingAgency (the testing partner for FIA) is running a five-part webinar series that will focus on anti-doping. The first takes place from 14:00 and will give an introduction to the subject, helping athletes understand their rights and responsibilities.

The webinars will take place via Zoom and will be available in English, Spanish, French, Chinese, Arabic and Russian. Visit the link to participate.
