This Saturday morning the weather was variable with very quick changes for the start of the FIA Karting European Championship – OK and Junior. After the rain in the morning, the first Junior race started on rain tyres, but the track started to dry out. The second race went off without a hitch on slicks. The rain returned just after the start of the third race. The drivers were unable to complete T1 with their slicks and a spectacular collective crash at the foot of the grandstand justified the red flag stop of the race. Fortunately, the damage was mainly to equipment.
