FIA Karting: four Italians in the lead in KZ2 in Lonato

Held in sunshine, the last three Qualifying Heats of the FIA Karting International Super Cup – KZ2 at Lonato brought some changes to the starting grid for the Final. But it was especially the late disqualification of Viktor Gustavsson (Birel ART/TM) for coming in underweight in the A-D heat of the day before that changed the situation.

Simone Cunati (Birel ART/TM) took the lead ahead of Matteo Zanchi (Birel ART/TM), followed by Lorenzo Giannoni (Sodi/TM) and Leonardo Marseglia (Birel ART/TM). Arthur Carbonnel (Sodi/TM) came back to 5th position in front of Benjamin Tornqvist (Birel ART/TM) and Giuseppe Palomba (Birel ART/TM). Hubert Petit (Sodi/TM) qualified in 19th position, just ahead of Gustavsson, and that was it for the tricolour finalists.
