Ugochukwu leads the European Junior Heats at Sarno

Valerio Rinicella (Parolin/TM) won the E-F heat ahead of Nikola Tsolov (KR/Iame). Several penalties changed the standings and Douwe Dedecker (KR/Iame) was 2nd, Aleksi Jalava (Exprit/Vortex) 3rd, Coskun Irfan (Kosmic/Vortex) 4th and Matteo De Palo (Tony Kart/Vortex) 5th after an 18-place comeback. Macéo Capietto (KR/Iame) was 13th due to a dropped spoiler. Cristian Bertuca (Birel ART/TM), Freddie Slater (Kosmic/Vortex) and Brando Badoer (KR/Iame) did not reach the finish.

Giovanni Trentin (Parolin/TM) won the C-D heat after many battles. Igor Cepil (KR/Iame) recovered 10 places to finish 2nd, while Evan Giltaire (Sodi/TM) finished 3rd after playing a leading role. Ean Eyckmans (Kosmic/Vortex) took 4th place ahead of Eron Rexhepi (KR/Iame). Arthur Rogeon (Exprit/Vortex), Karol Pasiewicz (Tony Kart/Vortex), William Macintyre (Birel ART/TM), Alex Powell (KR/Iame) and Oscar Wurz (Exprit/Vortex) had retired.

Maxwell Dodds (Parolin/TM) and Harley Keeble (Tony Kart/Vortex) quickly escaped at the front of the A-B heat and Keeble won by 5 tenths. Three seconds later, Tuukka Taponen (Tony Kart/Vortex) finished 3rd in the chasing group, followed by Tymoteusz Kucharczyk (RK/TM) and Ugo Ugochukwu (KR/Iame) who was never able to take the lead this time. Note that no retirements were recorded, which is unusual this weekend.

Ugo Ugochukwu nevertheless managed to keep the 1st place at the end of the heats against Dodds. Taponen came 3rd (+10 pl), Lindblad 4th (+15 pl) and Kucharczyk 5th (+15 pl). Giltaire was the only Frenchman to qualify for the Final in 19th position.
