Rodriguez wins Prefinal B in DD2 Master

Matias Rodriguez (ARG) and Eriks Gasparovics (LVA) kept the first two places in Prefinal B while Roberto Pesevski (AUT) came back to 3rd place overtaking Jari Koivisto (FIN). Pesevski determinedly came back to Gasparovics to overtake him on lap 5. Nicholas Verheul (ZAF) then moved up to 4th place. At the halfway point, Rodriguez was still leading by more than 5 tenths from Pesevski, but his lead was steadily decreasing. Four drivers were in the lead with four laps to go. The battle between his pursuers benefited the leader who regained a little distance. Rodriguez won the race with a 7 tenths lead over Pesevski, despite being the fastest on the track. Gasparovics finished 3rd, Verheul 4th and Koivisto 5th.
