Outstanding Denner wins of the KZ2 Super Cup

Emilien Denner (Sodi / TM), Emil Skaras (Energy / TM) made up the explosive front row of the Final of the FIA Karting International Super Cup – KZ2 in Lonato. On the line, David Vidales (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Giacomo Pollini (Formula K / TM) also had their cards to play. Although rain was forecast, the sky had not yet decided to wet the track.

 

On the first lap, Denner was 4 tenths ahead of Skaras, followed by Marco Tormen (Praga / TM), Vidales was 5th behind Pollini. But Skaras then accelerated the pace and the battle was between the first five. Denner held his lead firmly while Skaras was demoted to 5th. Tormen was now 2nd in front of Pollini. Further back, Thomas Landais (Sodi / TM) returned to the top 10, while Hubert Petit (Sodi / TM) had taken 12 places in 17th place, just ahead of Jean Nomblot (Sodi / TM).

 

Skaras was back in 3rd place behind Tormen, while Denner was 8 tenths ahead on lap 9. Skaras recovered 2nd place on lap 12 and started a difficult challenge, 1.6″ behind Denner, especially as Vidales challenged his position. When the Spaniard took 2nd, Denner was in the lead by 2”. Meanwhile, Senna Walstijn set the fastest lap and took 5th place.

 

Denner maintained a good pace, while letting Vidales gain a few tenths, to secure his triumph by 7 tenths on of the finish line. Skaras took 3rd place, with Pollini and Van Walstijn completing the top five. Landais was 11th, Hubert 14th (+15), Tom Leuillet (Praga / TM) 26th, but Nomblot did not takr the finish.
